A new grant scheme is helping communities take climate action.
Test Valley Borough Council, which covers Romsey, has launched a climate change grant offering up to £10,000 for community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
The funding supports projects that improve energy efficiency, lower emissions, or help communities adapt to climate change.
Eligible applicants include charitable organisations, community associations, parish and town councils, and groups managing community buildings.
Councillor Alison Johnston, portfolio holder for climate emergency and countryside, said: "We know that many local groups are passionate about protecting the environment and supporting their communities.
"This grant is a great opportunity to turn those ideas into action.
"Whether it's improving insulation in a village hall or launching a local climate change project, we want to help make it happen."
More information and application guidance are available at testvalley.gov.uk/climatechangegrants.
The scheme follows the council’s updated Climate Emergency Action Plan, which outlines steps to reduce emissions across Test Valley.
