A new sushi business in Romsey has received a borough council grant.

Panda Sushi has been awarded £750 from Test Valley Borough Council.

The owner, Yuliia Zhorny, has combined her passion for quality food with her sushi-making expertise for her new venture.

Yuliia, who previously ran a sushi business in Ukraine, has also catered for large gatherings and participated in local markets.

She is open for orders from Thursday to Sunday.

"It will allow me to continue growing my business and serving my customers with the best sushi.

Romsey Cupernham ward councillor Janet Burnage, said: "We are delighted to support Yuliia with her new business venture. Panda Sushi adds to the variety of cuisine offered in our borough.

"We wish her every success and look forward to seeing her business flourish."

Test Valley Borough Council's Business Incentive Grants are designed to help new businesses get started and grow in the community.

They are available to new businesses in Test Valley and must be applied for before the business begins operations.

The council awards the grant after the business has been running for a minimum of six months.

The council's initiative is aimed at encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship in the region.
