SAILOR Louise Morton has picked up the prestigious 2010 Ladies Day Trophy at Cowes Week.
Now in its fifth year, the trophy celebrates the achievements of women in sailing and Louise was nominated after winning the Women’s Open Keelboat Championship three times and for her dedication to the sport.
As well as racing competitively, she has spent the past five years reviving the Quarter Ton class and has also had her own boat, Espada, at or near the front of the fleet with a crew composed entirely of girls.
