LONGBRIDGE Lake on the Broadlands Estate have begun a major carp restocking programme on the popular day ticket fishery.
The fishery has bounced back from K.H.V 18 months ago and fishery manager Jon Hall stocked Snowy at 21 lb 4 oz plus some nice upper doubles to 17 lb.
Around a hundred gorgeous scaly carp between 9 lb and 11 lb are to be stocked next week.
Longbridge has always been a top winter carp water and the new stockies should light the blue touch paper for some great action.
l Cormorants' club match on Tench Lake and Canal at Hordle produced some tremendous weights with Dwayne Seed winning with 94 lb 8 oz of carp and maggot on pole with 6 lb.
Dave Hydes finished second with 93 lb 15 oz with Andy Hayden third with 70 lb 1 oz.
On the Canal Lake, Paul Hough took 95 lb 10 oz of carp on short pole and maggot with Pete Newman 62 lb 13 oz second with Barry James third with 39 lb 14 oz on pole and worm.
l Eastleigh’s club match on Winnal went to Chalky White who took 33 lb 8 oz of bream on pole and caster from peg 5.
Clive Egerton continued his phenomenal run, finishing second with 31 lb of bream on the feeder from peg 44.
Others: M.Hawkins 20 lb 8 oz, D.Carver 18 lb, M.Townsend 16 lb 8 oz and B.Smethurst 10 lb.
Salisbury’s club match on Petersfinger went to Paul Barnard who took 150 roach for 7 lb 5 oz on waggler and red maggot to shade Malc Pepperell with 7 lb 1 oz of roach and tench.
Others: J.Burt 5 lb 1 oz and I.Hayden 3 lb 15 oz.
