SAINTS have thanked Kyle Walker-Peters for his contribution in the club's shirt as they confirm his exit at the end of his contract.

The 28 year old has reached the end of his contract at St Mary's, along with midfielder Adam Lallana and goalkeeper Joe Lumley.

Walker-Peters, Lallana and Lumley are all out of contract at the end of the month and have left the club, although Lallana could return as a coach.

Saints said: "We thank Kyle for his outstanding commitment throughout his five-and-a-half-year stay, and wish him the very best for the future."

Walker-Peters made 202 appearances for Saints over more than five years, signing on an initial loan from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020.

He penned a five-year permanent contract that summer, was two England caps and was named in the 2023/24 Championship Team of the Season.

Lallana - who has now retired - signed a one-year deal last summer to mark a sensational return, a decade on from his departure to Liverpool.

The 37 year old made a further 19 appearances last campaign, with 16 in the Premier League, taking his total at Saints up to an incredible 283.

"We would like to congratulate Adam on a wonderful career and express our sincere thanks for his magnificent contribution," said Saints.

Third-choice goalkeeper Lumley, 30, spent two seasons at Saints, making eight appearances, after signing on a free transfer in 2023.

The club added: "We also thank Joe Lumley, who will leave the club after eight appearances across the last two seasons."

Youngsters Derrick Abu, Josh Lett, Josh McNamara and Lewis Payne have also all been confirmed as leaving the club at the end of their deals.
