TURKISH giants Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale following Southampton's relegation.

Saints will not stand in Ramsdale's way this summer, and owner Dragan Solak has not ruled out allowing the 27 year old to leave on loan.

Solak affirmed that Ramsdale "loves the club", but the former Arsenal goalkeeper is keen to regain his spot in the England squad.

Both Saints and Ramsdale understand his chances of impressing Thomas Tuchel are limited in the Championship.

"He's even personally looking at all the options of how he would go and come back if we are promoted because he loves the place and he loves the club," Solak told the Daily Echo.

Various outlets have reported that Champions League-qualified Galatasaray could offer Ramsdale a route back to top-level football.

Galatasaray, managed by Okan Buruk, have already signed German international Leroy Sane on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.

The Istanbul club are in the market for a goalkeeper to replace long-standing number one Fernando Muslera, who has left the club after 14 years of service.

Ramsdale signed a four-year contract at St Mary's last summer, in a transfer from Arsenal worth an initial £18million, potentially rising to £24m.

He conceded 66 goals across his 30 Premier League appearances, and kept three clean sheets for relegated Saints.
