SAINTS defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis admitted he is excited to work with new manager Will Still in the Championship this season.
Still was appointed Southampton manager before the end of the last campaign, and will now lead the club as they attempt to bounce back to the Premier League.
The 32 year old arrived at St Mary's days after departing RC Lens, whom he guided to an eighth-place finish in Ligue 1.
Harwood-Bellis has only spoken with the Belgian-born English coach briefly and was left with a good impression.
"You used the word there, excited. The boys are excited. A new manager has come in, he's young, so he's kind of on his way to the top," Harwood-Bellis told Sky Sports.

"We want to help him as much as he is going to help us. He is obviously there to put his ideas to us, but we are going to give it our best to learn and be willing to run.
"(We will) do everything for him. I spoke to him briefly, and he seems like a really good guy. Anyone you speak to about him holds him in such high regard.
"We are really excited. The boys, I'm sure, will come in raring to go in order to give the best for him."
Harwood-Bellis is currently out with an ankle injury, sustained at Everton, which has forced him to miss the Under-21 European Championships with England.
"I'm gutted I couldn't be there. I texted Lee (Carlsey) as soon as I got the injury. We wanted to go back to back, that would have been unbelievable," he added.
