SHOLING skipper Byron Mason has rejoined the club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign after taking time away from playing.
Club legend Mason was a key member of Sholing's management team last season, having suffered some setbacks in his playing career.
He now returns to the Boatmen's playing squad as a strong leader both on and off the field, and is the club's first in our series of player announcements.
Mason has racked up over 725 appearances for the Boatmen and has done it all for the club, lifting over a dozen trophies.
His long list of medals includes the FA Vase in 2014, which Sholing won at Wembley, beating West Auckland Town 1-0.
"Another year for the mighty Boatmen! After last season's injuries, I’m determined to stay fit to help the team," Mason said.
