EASTLEIGH have announced the signing of striker Aaron Blair following his departure from Maidstone United, subject to clearance.

Blair's arrival follows the signing of his Maidstone teammate, defender Temi Eweka, who is also 25 years old, on a free transfer this month.

The Spitfires have also captured the signature of Newport County's goalkeeper and 2024/25 Player of the Year, Nick Townsend. 

Upon confirmation of his move to Eastleigh, Blair, the club's third summer signing, said: “I feel ecstatic! I’m very happy to have signed.

"It’s been a long time coming and I think it’s the right time to make the step up. I want to get promoted and goals and assists are what I want to bring to the team!”

Blair’s journey began in the academy ranks of Dagenham & Redbridge, from where he scored five goals in seven appearances during a loan at Braintree Town.

The striker made a permanent move to Braintree, where he made 91 appearances and scored 31 goals in two seasons.

He a pivotal role in the Iron’s 2023/24 National League South play-off triumph, netting in both the semi-final and final to help secure promotion.

In June 2024, Blair signed with Maidstone United, joining another National League South squad with serious ambitions under manager George Elokobi.

Blair slotted in seamlessly, scoring eight goals in 26 league appearances in the 2024/25 campaign ahead of his move to the Silverlake.
