SAINTS goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has reportedly held talks with Premier League West Ham ahead of a potential summer transfer.

The 27 year old only signed for Saints in August but could be on his way out following the club's relegation to the Championship.

England hopeful Ramsdale made 32 appearances in all competitions, conceding 68 goals and suffering the worst record in his career so far.

With the transfer window open, TalkSPORT report that former Arsenal number one Ramsdale has held talks with the London-based Hammers.

They add that Saints would be willing to sell the shot-stopper for £20million in order to get his £100k-a-week wages off their books for good.

Saint paid an initial £18m for Ramsdale last year, with add-ons taking the deal up to £25m - but at least £1m hinged on beating relegation.

West Ham boss Graham Potter is said to be a big admirer of the former Bournemouth and Sheffield United man, who wants to stay in the top flight.

The Irons need to bolster their ranks after the departure of Lukasz Fabianski, while Ramsdale wants to make the 2026 World Cup squad.
