SAINTS should plot a raid on Will Still's former club, Stade de Reims, after they were relegated from Ligue 1 on Thursday evening.
Still spent two years in charge of Reims, guiding them clear of relegation, before joining RC Lens, whom he led to an eighth-place finish in 2024/25.
However, his former club have now dropped down to the second tier, following a 4-2 loss against Metz, just days after they lost the Coupe de France final against PSG.
Reims have already been raided by a Premier League club this season when Wolves signed Marshall Munetsi and Emmanuel Agbadou in the winter.
We've picked out three players Southampton should consider adding to Still's squad ahead of their push for promotion next season...
Keito Nakamura

Nakamura, 24, ended the season as the club's top goalscorer in Ligue 1, with 11 strikes, and should have top-tier clubs chasing his signature.
A left-sided player with an eye for goal, the Japan international would add much-needed firepower to a rather tepid forward line.
Saints already have a strong contingent of Japanese players at the club, having signed three last summer, and the allure of working with Still could draw Nakamura to Saints.
Nakamura last two goals came against Still's Lens in a 2-0 win last month. The forward has been linked with Wolves in recent days.
Junya Ito
Junya Ito is perfectly suited to Will Still's playstyle. (Image: Wyscout) Another Japanese international expected to leave Reims is chance-creating machine Junya Ito. The winger averaged 4.32 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes in Ligue 1 last season.
Only Moses Simon of Nantes (165) averaged more crosses in the division than 32 year old Ito (147), and crossing was an important part of Still's Lens side.
Still is not the only person at Staplwood Ito is familiar with. Alongside his countryman Yukinari Sugawara, the winger played with Paul Onuachu at Genk.
The duo combined for 22 goals in 105 games while playing alongside each other in Belgium. Rekindling that partnership could finally get the most out of Onuachu.
With one year left on his contract and eight years older, Ito would command a smaller fee than his teammate Nakamura.
Teddy Teuma
Teddy Teuma has played 43 times for Malta. (Image: Wyscout) Malta international Teddy Teuma was Reims' top goalscorer during Still's second season in charge, scoring six goals from midfield, just one of those being a penalty.
Teuma averaged 6.44 recoveries per 90 minutes and 6.44 passes into the final third per 90 minutes during that season, also.
The French-born midfielder is currently Reims' skipper but has not played since April after a disagreement with manager Samba Diawara.
It appears rather certain that the 31 year old will not continue at Reims, which could alert Saints, who need to reinforce their midfield.
Much like Ito, Teuma doesn't necessarily fit into Johannes Spors' development-focused recruitment model, however, the German did admit a balance would be struck.
