SAINTS have been made second favourites to win the 2025/26 Championship title and secure promotion back to the Premier League.
The St Mary's side appointed new boss Will Still on a three-year deal on Sunday, ahead of a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in their final top flight match.
Saints have been relegated to the Championship as the second-worst team in Premier League history, with just 12 points from 38 matches.
However, they have been made early favourites to win promotion again at the first attempt, following their play-off success last campaign.
Fellow relegated side Ipswich Town are the most fancied team at the bookies, with a price of 9/2 to win the league and 7/5 for promotion.

But Saints are priced at 11/2 to win the Championship title and 7/4 to finish first, second or win the play-offs again to secure another promotion.
Sheffield United are third favourites at 17/2 and 23/10 respectively, having been beaten in this season's play-off final by Sunderland on Saturday.
Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Coventry all have lower odds than Leicester City, priced at 11/1 to win the title and 4/1 for promotion.
The Foxes could face a significant points deduction after they were charged for breaking PSR rules during the 2023/24 campaign.
