SAINTS have now reportedly reached a full agreement with RC Lens to name Will Still as the club's new permanent first team manager.

As already reported by the Daily Echo, Saints are not expected to officially confirm Still's appointment as boss until Sunday at the earliest.

The club hope the 32 year old will be a guest in the stands at St Mary's for the final match of the Premier League season against Arsenal.

The Telegraph have reported that Saints have agreed a three-year deal with Still, following negotiations with French outfit Lens this week.

Still led Lens to an eighth-place finish in his first season at the club, after two previous mid-table campaigns with Ligue 1 rivals Stade Reims.

The Belgium-born Englishman could be joined by his assistants, brothers Nicholas and Edward, although that has not yet been confirmed.

Technical director Johannes Spors has been leading Southampton's search for a new boss, which commenced more than six weeks ago.

Saints have been without a permanent manager since sacking Ivan Juric in April, as first revealed by the Daily Echo, amid just one win in 14 matches.

Interim bosses Simon Rusk and Adam Lallana have seen Saints accumulate two more points, surpassing Derby County's lowest points record.
