ON an afternoon Saints fans will be introduced to their new manager, Will Still, interim boss Simon Rusk could name a team close to what we will see in the Championship.

Southampton already know they will be without Taylor Harwood-Bellis against Arsenal, and Jan Bednarek remains a doubt with a knee injury.

Rusk hinted that out-of-contract full-back Kyle Walker-Peters had already played his final game for the club, leaving him short of numbers at the back.

Jay Robinson, who signed a new long-term contract earlier this season, could play a big role next year, and a maiden St Mary's start would be key learning.

Here's how we predict Southampton will lineup when they host Arsenal on the final day of the Premier League season...

Goalkeeper

The England international will likely play his final game for the club ahead of a summer move, which will see Saints recoup important transfer funds.

Injuries present another chance for Nathan Wood to impress ahead of an increased role in the Championship. James Bree and Jack Stephens will partner him.

With Walker-Peters set to leave Saints, Yukinari Sugawara could return from the cold, while Welington may edge Ryan Manning for a starting spot down the left.

Midfielders

Rusk's eye for the future will likely mean Lesley Ugochukwu remains on the bench and Joe Aribo is preferred in midfield.

Flynn Dowes will partner the Nigerian international. Romeo Akachukwu may appear, but he is in the 18th month of his long season.

Daily Echo Player of the Year Mateus Fernandes could return to the wing, allowing teenager Jay Robinson to make his first Saints start.

The 18 year old was impressive off the bench against Everton last weekend, as was Ross Stewart, who should also start.

Full predicted lineup:

Ramsdale; Bree, Stephens, Wood; Sugawara, Downes, Aribo, Welington; Fernandes, Robinson, Stewart.
