Having supported Saints for well over 60 years, enjoying some memorable teams, games and achievements, I now find it impossible to renew my season ticket.
I’ve simply had enough of boring, tedious football with little or no passion on the part of the players and a management structure that doesn’t seem to realise football is an entertainment industry.
There’s been precious little entertainment at St Mary’s over the last few years. The current group of players are simply either not good enough or not motivated: they just don’t seem to care.

What’s worse is they seem to be inculcated with Russell Martin’s slow-moving, backwards, risk-averse, dismal style of football that is a total turn-off.
The Board’s decisions are bizarre: they seem to appoint managers whose style is dour and then expect it to work, or maybe they just like boring football?
Saints fans are noted for their tolerance, patience and their belief, there’s always hope.
Well, I’m sorry, enough is enough, all hope has long faded, the downward spiral is set to continue in the absence of a clear strategy, an exciting style of playing and a total turnaround in the playing and management staff.
