SAINTS paid over £8.9million in agent fees between February 2024 and February 2025, it has been revealed in a new FA report.
The figure is the second-lowest of any current Premier League side — only fellow promoted side Ipswich Town paid a smaller total to agents (£6.26million).
Southampton have seen an increase in agent fees compared to the £7.5million they paid during the previous recorded period between February 2023 and February 2024.
The £8,900,718 total takes into account deals from the summer and winter transfer windows, new contracts or scholarships, and could include fees agreed during previous windows.
Premier League clubs paid a total of £409million to agents, a slight decrease from last year's £410 million sum.
High spenders Chelsea naturally the way with over £60million spent, followed by Manchester City, who paid just over £52million.
Leeds United, whom Saints beat in last season's play-off final, spent by far the most in the Championship, with an outlay of nearly £19million.
