Massive, massive save from Fran Stenson to deny Pompey a late winner through Sophie Quirk. That was THE chance to win the game.

7:14pm

Stenson down to block Jones' near post effort. Not much has happened since that offside goal.

7:02pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Saints think they have taken the lead through Mullett but the flag is raised for offside. We have no benefit of replays here.

6:53pm

Saints Women want a penalty for handball after Rachel Rowe's cross is blocked. The referee gives a corner instead.

6:49pm

Palmer and Mott are replaced by Lia and Collett with an hour gone.

6:48pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Southampton FC's first chance of the half results in a corner. Pike's effort from a tight angle looked like it was going in before Poulter tipped it wide.

6:47pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Big save from Fran Stenson to deny Pompey an opener. It's been one-way traffic since the start of the second half.

6:43pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Pompey have started the second half well, winning a succession of corners and keeping Saints pinned into their own half.

Lia and Collett are in communication with the bench. They could be about to come on.

6:35pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Under way for the second half. No changes.

6:19pm

Somehow still 0-0 at the break. Both teams have missed chances - Pike poked one into Poulter's hands just moments ago.

Pompey have looked the most likely to break the deadlock but both sides need a bit of gloss in the final third.

6:15pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Into three additional minutes.

6:13pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Casley heads just over from the resulting delivery. Saints escape just before the break.

6:12pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Everything Pompey are doing well is coming through Hornby. She has just won a corner. Three first-half minutes to go.

6:11pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Pompey go close to finding a breakthrough just before the break. Hornby with a long-range effort which loops onto the roof of the net.

6:09pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

A massive slide tackle from Jones to stop Pike as she got to the byline. Corner to Saints with five first-half minutes remaining.

6:08pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Frustration from the Saints fans as Rowe is pushed over but the referee gives nothing. A lack of chances for both sides over the last 10 minutes.

6:03pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

A break in play here as Mullett receives some treatment. Looks like she will be able to continue but Collett is going through an intense warm-up.

5:55pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Rowe has her customary long-range effort. She doesn't catch it in the sweat spot and looks to teh heavens as Poulter gathers easily.

5:53pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Saints midfielder Palmer is the first player in referee Abby Dearden's book. She went through Coan off the ball. The correct decision.

5:52pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Both sides are trading chances. Mullett goes close for Saints again - this time rolling one past the far post.

There isn't much to separate the teams, a little bit of final third quality will make the difference.

5:51pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Pompey waste another big chance. Quirk smashes the ball into Barker, who stumbles as she gets her shot off and the ball flies well off target.

5:45pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Another corner to follow after Coan sticks her head in the way of Rowe's rasping effort.

5:44pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

A good chance for Pompey goes begging. Hornby can't reach Quirk's inviting cross on the stretch. Saints go up the other end and win a corner. End-to-end stuff.

5:40pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

An important defensive intervention from Rowe inside the Saints box to stop Pompey from getting a shot off. It was the Welsh international who played Mullett through moments ago too. She's started well.

5:39pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Saints should be ahead after eight minutes. Mullett is through but loses control of the ball and the keeper gathers. Saints players with their heads in their hands.

5:35pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Rowe's attempt to switch the ball out to Palmer is jeered by the away fans as it rolls out for a throw in.

The Pompey players then get booed by the Saints fans in the Northam Stand as they go to collect the ball.

5:32pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Two police officers have taken their position between the two sets of fans. I don't imagine they will be too busy today but there is a solid atmosphere here inside St Mary's.

5:30pm

Saints 0 Portsmouth 0

Mullett gets the ball rolling after both teams take the knee.

5:28pm
5:15pm

Saints skipper Purfield is stood on the halfway line to high-five her teammates as they head down the tunnel. Saints are up for this.
