HAMPSHIRE all-rounder Freya Kemp has travelled to Abu Dhabi after being named in an England Women’s Cricket Pathway squad.

The group will undertake an intensive training camp running until March 8. The 15-player group will develop their skills in warm conditions and engage in competitive scenario-based training.

Kemp, a promising left-arm seamer and powerful batter, continues to rise in the England Women’s setup. This camp will be crucial for her development, particularly in refining her bowling and strengthening her role as a key player for both club and country.

The camp, led by England Women performance pace bowling Coach Chris Liddle, focuses on the pace bowling performance programme while the squad also features players from various disciplines, ensuring a well-rounded training experience.

Liddle highlighted the importance of the camp, stating: “We are really looking forward to this camp in Abu Dhabi, which will be an important training block for all 15 players in a warm environment, training on grass. We have seen some great improvements over the winter, and this camp provides a further step in their growth.”

Kemp’s inclusion underscores her growing reputation in English cricket. Having already represented England at senior and age-group levels, she will aim to maximize this opportunity ahead of the upcoming season.
