SAINTS are set to be without Kamaldeen Sulemana against Newcastle United while Aaron Ramsdale is also a doubt for the match.
Ivan Juric is still hunting his first point since being appointed boss but believes his side are showing signs of progress during his tenure.
They take on an in-form Newcastle side but one who looking to bounce back from a shock 4-1 defeat at home to AFC Bournemouth last time out.

Goalkeeper
Aaron Ramsdale picked up a minor injury in training this week and is a doubt for the match but will start if he is declared fit to do so.
Defenders
Yukinari Sugawara and James Bree are probably not the strongest section of the team but seem to be trusted on the right under new boss Juric.
Jan Bednarek and Taylor Harwood-Bellis complete the central trio while Kyle Walker-Peters will start again and that could be on the left.
Midfielders
Flynn Downes came in from the start against Nottingham Forest but Juric admitted he did not play well so Lesley Ugochukwu will regain his place.
The midfield pairing is likely to be completed by Joe Aribo, whose long-term future at the club is a doubt with his contract expiring in June 2026.
Attackers
Kamaldeen Sulemana has been ruled out of the clash so Mateus Fernandes will be given chief creative duties with Adam Armstrong potentially in too.
Paul Onuachu scored his first goal for Saints from the bench at the City Ground and should be called on from the start against a physical Newcastle.

Full predicted team
Ramsdale; Sugawara, Bree, Bednarek, Harwood-Bellis, Walker-Peters; Aribo, Ugochukwu; Armstrong, Fernandes, Onuachu.
