SAINTS manager Ivan Juric revealed new injury worries for Aaron Ramsdale and Kamaldeen Sulemana ahead of Saturday's clash with Newcastle United.

Goalkeeper Ramsdale will face a late fitness call after picking up a knock in training while the medical team has stood down Kamaldeen for the weekend.

Ramsdale, 26, missed a month of action with a broken finger but Juric gestured to the side of his torso as he detailed the unrelated concern.

Meanwhile, Kamaldeen, 22, who has been resurgent for Saints under Juric, must be rested due to hamstring aches and pains that are still being monitored.

Juric said: "We had a problem with Rambo, the goalkeeper. He did something yesterday on the training pitch, we will see if he can play tomorrow.

"Kamaldeen won’t play against Newcastle as he has a little injury. He has a little problem with his hamstring and our medical staff are really scared about that.

"They are worried because he had problems in the past. I think, I hope, it’s nothing and from Monday he’ll start training with the team again."

"We have some problems with Rambo. We will see tomorrow. I hope that he will be fine but he did something yesterday in training. He feels pain, we will see."

New signing Albert Gronbaek, who arrived from Stade Rennes on loan earlier this week, is not likely to make his debut in the meeting with the Magpies.

He explained: "He will be a good option for us to take a look at him for six months. He has only trained once with us today, I think it will be more likely for the next game."

Saints received a positive update on the fitness of Tyler Dibling, who was substituted with an injury after an hour at Manchester United.

The initial prognosis suggested he would be sidelined for four to six weeks but Juric believes it was positive news in the medical assessments.

"In this moment we are a little bit more optimistic about it but we will see next week. Next week we can say something more," the Croatian said.
