EVERY word Saints boss Ivan Juric said following Southampton's 3-0 win over Swansea City in the FA Cup third round.

Your first win as Southampton manager and progression in the FA Cup, how do you feel?

IJ: I'm very happy, very satisfied. I think we did one good game. I saw lots of good things, a few not such good things, but we are very pleased, I'm happy and it's okay for us.

You must be happy with how convincing it was, was it exactly the kind of win you needed?

IJ: Yeah, I think we created a lot of chances. We conceded only one chance in the last minutes of the game.

I'm not happy about that because we have to be focused all the game. But I think we created lots of chances, scored three goals and we are happy.

What can this win do for this group?

IJ: We need confidence. We need this moment to see that we can do things. I think there are lots of things to do better and now we have four days to prepare for the game against Manchester United.

Kamaldeen Sulemana scored his first goal this season, how important can that be for him?

IJ: I think Sulemana worked hard in the last 20 days, he wasn't in very good shape. Now it's the first game that I'm satisfied with him, assist and goal.

He can give us a hand. He's a young player, he needs confidence but he can give us a hand.

Who do you think he was shushing with his celebration?

IJ: I don't know.

He's been linked with a move about but does that performance mean you have to keep him?

IJ: I know him before. I know everything about Sulemana when he played in France and the problems he had here.

I think he's a good player and now in this moment, the good players have to stay in Southampton. Maybe we will bring other players to a high level a little bit more.

A first brace for Tyler Dibling, his brilliant season keeps continuing...

IJ: He's a really young guy and today he scored two goals. I'm expecting even more of him because I think he can do it even better than today.

He started as a striker today, can he play in that role against a Premier League opposition?

IJ: I think that he's really young and I think he cannot run too much. Sometimes it's better that he's playing forward and waited for the right moment like today and score the goal.

I noticed that when he's in the middle he had to defend a lot and then lose the energy. I think for him now at this moment it's the best position.

It looked like Dibling and Kamaldeen had a good relationship ...

IJ: This week we were working a lot with these three guys in the attack. They are really young, 20 or less, 18, 20 and 22. I think they are good friends, good relationship and they did very well today.

Jan Bednarek had to come off, was it anything serious?

IJ: No, it seems it's okay. I think for Jan it's good to have 20 minutes to rest a bit.

Great for Will Smallbone to come on for his first appearance in a few months also...

IJ: I'm very pleased for that because I think he's a really good player.  He can give us a big hand. He understands football. Today I gave him 20-25 minutes and he did well.

Do you feel the fans can be proud of the team they watched today?

IJ: Yes, I hope it's a new beginning. Today we did a good game. It's the FA Cup and now we want to prepare really well to play against Manchester United and be more competitive than in the last game at home and I think we can do it.

Are you a manager that believes you can gain a lot of momentum from a win? Can the mentality change quickly?

IJ: Of course. I hope so. I think we have quality. We can do it much better in some moments. I think against Fulham, West Ham and Crystal Palace we were very competitive.

I expect that against Manchester and then there are details and moments where we have to be better.

You've got a home draw against Burnley in the next round...

IJ: I know that we play against Burnley. It's better to play here than go to Burnley.

Do you feel like you still need to strengthen during this month?

IJ: I hope so. I think we need some players in some positions. We will see in these 20 days what will happen. My idea is that we need some of the players to high up a little bit of level of the squad.

How crucial is it that this group stays together this month?

IJ: For me, all the good players have to stay here and if it's possible to bring another to be more competitive.

Do you expect a slightly tougher opponent against Burnley?

IJ: I was watching a lot of Swansea and I was scared a little bit about the game because they play very well.

If you are not precise, you do not press well, you can have problems. I think against Burnley, of course, last year they were in the Premier League. It will be a tougher match, of course.
