SAINTS winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A side Genoa, with an Italian publication suggesting he is their top target.

Genoa, 13th in the Italian top flight, are said to be in the market for a wide man this month and could look to sign Ghana international Kamaldeen from Southampton.

The 22 year old has started twice for Saints this season, the first of which saw him withdrawn after 15 minutes against Spurs with his side already 3-0 dow.

Italian publication DiMarzio report that Kamaldeen is Genoa's favoured option although no official approach has been made.

Saints boss Ivan Juric is a fan of Kamaldeen and handed him his second start of the season in the 5-0 defeat to Brentford.

The Croatian manager has made repeated mention of the former Rennes forward and noted that Kamaldeen has been working hard despite previous suggestions that was his issue.

Kamaldeen has been at Southampton since the winter transfer window of 2022, when he joined from Ligue 1 side Rennes for a club record fee, understood to be up to £23.5million.

He is yet to get going on the south coast and has not scored since his brace against Liverpool on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

The 19-time Ghana international has agreed to join Ajax on loan in the summer but the Dutch giants failed to file the paper work before the deadline.
