SOUTHAMPTON boxer Ryan Garner is set to headline a full championship card in Bournemouth as he fights Salvador Jimenez for the European title.

WBC inter super featherweight champion Garner takes on the unbeaten Spaniard for the vacant EBU European super featherweight belt on Saturday, March 1.

The 27 year old puts his WBC belt and his 16-0-0 record on the line against Jiminez, 28, who boasts 14 wins, one draw and no defeats.

Fellow Southampton boxer Lewie Edmondson will defend his Commonwealth light heavyweight title against undefeated Oluwatosin Kejawa on the undercard.

Edmondson, 29, defeated Dan Azeez to win the British and Commonwealth belts in October and take his professional record to 10-0-0.

Southampton is further represented by Royston Barney-Smith and John Isaacs, while Archie Sharp and Liam Dillon will clash for the vacant Commonwealth silver lightweight title.

Joe Joyce, Karol Itauma, Mace Reugg, Jadier Herrera, Henry Turner and Charles Frankham are also named as fighting on the night, with event timings to be confirmed.

Queensberry are planning to host a press conference on Thursday, January 16, where they will confirm the full undercard of the event.
