Enough is Enough. After yet another dismal performance, sat in the bitter cold watching on as our team yet again rolled over in embarrassment to another hammering at home, it’s time our supporters take a stand.

I honestly do not know where to go from here or who to point the finger at however ultimately the hierarchy at the club need to change and they need to change fast. What’s happening to our beloved Southampton Football Club?

Do they really think that it’s okay for us to turn up week in and week out and pay ridiculous amounts of money on tickets/food and drink prices/match day programmes etc. while in return we get the constant diabolical 90 minutes that has recently become the norm.

If we as the support base continue to turn up, pay them what they want and do or say nothing the board and the owners will continue to hide behind the players and nothing will ever change.

I therefore believe that on Saturday 25th January at our home game against Newcastle, our Supporters should boycott the game. Have the stands completely empty.

I know this will never happen as there are too many ‘die hard’ fans who believe being there ‘in that number’ is the right thing to do. But believe me when I say for the long term future of our club, the best thing to do on that Saturday would be to stay at home.

I will be taking that stand on Saturday 25th January. I ask our supporters to do the same. Otherwise NOTHING will change anytime soon.

P.S. £22.50 for a cup game against Swansea? Are the club serious right now? Wake up and read the room for goodness sake. The club should be dishing these out for free to season ticket holders, local schools and football clubs.

Do you see where I’m coming from now? The owners are clueless when it comes to its relationship with its supporters. Why? Because the money keeps rolling in whether we win or lose. Take a stand, boycott our next home league game. Maybe Sports Republic will then wake up.
