Ivan, clearly a very disappointing day. How do you assess your side?

IJ: It was an extremely bad day. A really, really bad game. And it was such a difference between two teams. I'm really disappointed with everything. With the team, with myself, with everybody.

When you say disappointed with yourself, what do you mean by that?

IJ: No, I mean that it's just two weeks of work, but I expected more. That I can do it more with the team. After the last game, I had a good sensation that we can compete.

Some things that we can do better. But today it was like when somebody kicks you in the head. And it was a big difference between two teams. In one against one, in acceleration, in everything.

What did you say to your players after the game?

IJ: They know that the situation is very bad because they went through bad before and now it's the same thing.

But in the moment of the difficult, I think in life you have to stick together. Try to work harder and try to change things. This is the only thing that they have to do.

How frustrating is it for you, bearing in mind that Brentford hadn't won away?

IJ: No, it was such a difference. I think that a few times in my life, even playing with great teams, I didn't have that feeling.

We did well for 30 or 45 minutes in the first half, where I had the sensation that we are competing. It was like too much difference, too much difference. 

Is it disappointing after positives in the previous matches?

IJ: Against Fulham, it was defending but a clean sheet in the end. We conceded three goals only in the free kicks and we didn't concede a goal.

We created chances a lot against West Ham, a bit against Crystal Palace. Today, I was thinking about one step forward and we did three steps back. It was a really bad performance.

Do the players still believe they can stay up this season?

IJ: In this moment what is important is to concentrate, to be focused, to not live these days again. We have to work to improve ourselves. We have to think more, not just the result, but even the human aspect, that we cannot lose 5-0 at home.

Six points from 20 matches, who has to take responsibility for this season?

IJ: I can speak about these two weeks of work. Like I said, I was very satisfied with the games. I saw many improvements but today it was really bad everything. I don't feel ready to say that it is the fault of one or the other.

Have you any more ideas about how you might approach the January window?

IJ: We will speak on Tuesday and then we will see everything we can do.

When will Welington be available to play for you?

IJ:  He is not available yet. He is working out of the team and I don't know.

What was the thinking behind starting Kamaldeen Sulemana?

IJ: He played well I think in his first game after a long time. I can say that he worked very hard in just two weeks with a good mentality, which is his problem in the past, they told me.

I think he did 55 minutes okay. Then for the first time, I wanted to put Adam Armstrong (and Cameron Archer) together. Maybe they give us something more, but I am satisfied.

Cameron Archer has not started a game yet. Is he frustrated by that?

IJ: In this moment, everybody is frustrated. Who has started, not started, me, my wife and we are frustrated. In this moment, I don't think that players can think about himself. They have to think about the club.

Five goals conceded in three of the last four home matches - what can you say to fans?

IJ: I feel really responsible, sorry that we have that kind of day. Again, it was awful and without joy for this season, for me, for these two weeks, for them. I think we have to take one day off, think very well, and this day cannot happen anymore.
