How dare Russell Martin criticise the stalwart Saints fans.
Whilst he stubbornly continues to play tippy-tappy around the penalty area the fans have had enough.
It beggars belief that when all the indicators (not to mention most commentators) say our football is dangerous, boring, possession-for-possessions-sake, catastrophic low entertainment mistake ridden relegation fodder he continues to inflict it on the long suffering fans.
If he can’t change, if he can’t organise the defence, if he can’t stop playing this suicidal rubbish he should go.
We long for a free kick that goes forward, we long for somebody to put crosses in, we just want some excitement. Is it too much to ask?
As we are likely to go down anyway let’s have some attacking, let’s have some of the promising kids in (Dibling is a delight, I’m surprised Martin tolerates his running with the ball) above all please can we have the ball going forward quickly?
Personally I have become numbed by his style of play and am almost anaesthetised when I go and watch to the inevitable unfolding disasters.
Enough is enough. If I could trade in my season ticket I would.
