EASTLEIGH boss Kelvin Davis has issued an injury update on three of his sidelined stars ahead of their FA Trophy third-round trip to Hanwell Town.
The Spitfires take on the Southern League Premier opposition at 3pm this afternoon after nearly two weeks without a fixture in the National League.
Former Saint Jake Vokins went off injured 30 minutes into the 1-0 victory at Ebbsfleet United last time out and is set for a spell on the sidelines.
"Jakey has a bit more of a serious ankle injury so he will be out for weeks rather than days," said Davis, speaking ahead of his side's return to action.
"He doesn’t need an operation or anything like that but he will be out for a substantial amount of time and will miss a few games.
"It doesn’t help but we have a squad that can handle it and we have players that have done well when called upon in that position."
Meanwhile, injured Solomon Nwabuokei has not featured since September while summer signing Deji Sotona came off 30 minutes into the season opener.
Both players are in rehabilitation for serious injuries and not expected to feature for Eastleigh until further into the new year.
"Sol has been a niggling injury for a bit of time so he has had some extra rehabilitation and will be out for a bit longer," said Davis.
"We won’t see him until later into the next year. It’s a shame because we got to every stage and we thought he would come back.
"It eventually meant he had to take some time off his feet to get it recovered. Deji’s situation has been non-operable and a serious knee injury.
"He needed an extended period of rehab and we have created a situation now where he knows what he needs to do. He will be a few months but we expect a full recovery."
On facing Hanwell, Davis added: "We have not named the team yet and we haven't decided on what's that going to be but it will be a strong team and expected to perform."
