GOALSCORER Chris Maguire is hoping Eastleigh can build on the fighting spirit they showed to rescue a point against Boston United on Saturday.
Maguire converted a 95th-minute penalty to ensure 10-man Eastleigh claimed a point at the Silverlake Stadium.
The Spitfires were reduced to 10 men when forward Scott Quigley saw a red card not long after the restart.
Samuel Osborne's early goal had looked set to help Boston claim three points before former Scotland international Maguire produced last-minute heroics.
"It's good to get the point because, by the end, it looked like we would be getting none. We showed good character to fight and come back with 10 men," he explained.
"You have to keep going, it's always going to be tough with 10 men. Everyone has to work extra hard to keep up with them.
"We stuck to it well, doesn't matter who you are playing against, playing with 10 men is always going to be tough.
"We did that. Thankfully a long throw-in and I was able to win a penalty at the end. You know me, I stand here and say it a lot, I'm always confident from penalties.
"I've taken them throughout my career. Thankfully the keeper dived early and I put it down the middle.

"We know we are in a sticky patch right now, we want to get three points as much as we can. Today shows we have a fighting spirit. A point is better than none.
"We haven't got a game next week with it being an FA Cup matchday, that will give us a bit of time to get people back on the training pitch to do some work.
"Hopefully we can take it from there are start picking up some wins. It's good to be back at home We don't want teams coming here and taking points.
"We've made it difficult for teams this season. Hopefully, that can continue and we can start picking up three points to climb up the table."
Kelvin Davis' Eastleigh are next in action at home against Braintree Town on Saturday, November 9.
