HAMPSHIRE all-rounder Felix Organ has committed his future at Utilita Bowl to 2026 with a two-year contract extension.
Since his debut for the club in 2017, he has been capped 86 times across his career and is a product of Hampshire’s successful youth system having represented the county since U13 level.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Organ worked his way through the age groups and captained Hampshire academy in the 2017 and 2018 Southern Premier League seasons.
He scored a century in just his third First-Class game, against Kent at Utilita Bowl in 2019, and took a memorable 5-25 three games later against Surrey, also on his home ground.
A versatile player, Organ has mostly featured as an opener in First-Class cricket, but has batted in every position except two and 11 across formats in his Hampshire career.
After signing a contract extension, academy graduate Organ said: “I am delighted to extend my contract with Hampshire.
"There are so many good people at the club and I couldn’t ask for a better environment to play my cricket. I’m very excited for the upcoming seasons and hope to help bring the club as much success as possible.”
In 2022, after 11 matches in the middle and lower order, Organ scored his second County Championship century, against Gloucestershire at Utilita Bowl, and followed it up with another three figure score against the same opposition at Cheltenham.
In 10 appearances in the red ball competition in 2023, he took his career-best figures of 6-67 against Lancashire at Southport.
His all-round abilities came to fruition in the 2024 Metro Bank One-Day Cup, as he scored 219 runs – with two fifties – and took six wickets as Hampshire reached the knockout stages of the competition for the fifth time in the last six editions.
In the County Championship, Organ claimed figures of 5-104 against reigning champions, Surrey, as Hampshire claimed victory by an innings and 278 runs at Utilita Bowl.
Giles White, director of cricket, added: “Felix has developed into a genuine threat with the ball and he also adds value with the bat.
“He’s a popular member of the squad and has a real passion for the game and his team; we are delighted he is going to continue his progress at Hampshire.”
