EASTLEIGH rounded out their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 defeat to League One Exeter City on Saturday.

Josh Magennis added to first-half goals from Tristan Crama and Reece Cole to ensure the Devon side recorded a comfortable win.

The Northern Irish international raced in behind the Spitfires' defence before slamming home just minutes after coming on from the bench.

Jake Vokins came close to pulling one back for Kelvin Davis' side in the 90th minute in his first appearance since joining the club on a permanent basis.

The Saints academy graduate has signed a contract at the Silverlake Stadium having been on trial over the summer. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Eastleigh.

The game also saw Eastleigh come up against former player Vinnie Harper, who left the Silverlake Stadium last summer to join Exeter.

Eastleigh get their National League campaign under way on Saturday, August 10 with an away trip to Maidenhead United.
