SOUTH African bowler Ottniel Baartman remains unable to play for Hampshire due to visa problems.
The 31 year old had agreed to join back in May in preparation for the Hawks' final six T20 Blast group matches.
Baartman was signed to replace Afghanistan international Naveen-ul-Haq in the Hampshire squad after he was unable to join the side due to personal circumstances.
Baartman's hopes of playing for Hampshire could be ended should the Hawks not progress past the group stages.
Hampshire Cricket have not provided a time frame for when the South African could be available for selection.
A statement via their social media accounts said: "We're looking forward to seeing Ottniel at Utilita Bowl soon."
Baartman is a right-arm fast bowler who played for Sunrisers Eastern Cape in their victorious South African T20 campaigns in 2023 and 2024.
He was the competition’s second-leading wicket-taker this year, taking 18 wickets at an economy of 6.95 runs per over.
