TRANSFER rumours have died down slightly after a manic week, just in time for the Saints players returning to training.
We still await an update on the future of out-of-contract striker Che Adams, who is yet to seal his next move following EURO 2024.
Several Saints players have additional time off due to involvement with their international teams and Adams would be one of those in any case.
Here are the latest transfer rumours involving Saints in the last 24-48 hours...
Saints make bid for exciting Senegal midfielder
Saints have reportedly made a bid worth an undisclosed amount for FC Metz and Senegal midfielder Lamine Camara, 20.
The youngster could leave France this summer with Metz relegated from Ligue 1 last campaign after they were beaten in the promotion play-off.
Camara impressed as he played 31 of their 34 league games, scoring one goal and setting up four more from central midfield.
The Africa Cup of Nations winner has two years left on his current deal and is said to be worth around £10million in the report.

Alcaraz set to return to Saints training today
Charly Alcaraz has been pictured back in England, despite not returning to Saints training for Monday's first day of pre-season.
Italian media report that the Argentine is set to return to training at Staplewood this afternoon with Juventus unlikely to make an offer.

They suggest Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur could attempt to make deals with Saints for the signing of the 21 year old.
Alcaraz signed a new long-term contract to keep him at Saints until 2028 last year, before going on loan to the Serie A giants in January.
Hijack attempt on Southampton's Welington agreement?
Saints are working on a deal to sign Brazilian left-back Welington from Sao Paulo, the Daily Echo confirmed last week.
However, reports in Italy claim that Torino are confident they can hijack the deal despite Welington having already done his Saints medical.

Initial reports in Brazil detailed how Saints can sign the 23 year old for free at the end of 2024 due to his contract expiring.
Saints could opt to pay a small fee now for his immediate release, which Torino are also willing to do according to the report.

West Ham talk keeps going with multiple angles
West Ham and Saints appear to be the most involved pair of clubs in the summer transfer window so far with a few players of interest.
The Hammers and Saints are reportedly still apart on their valuation of Kyle Walker-Peters, who is in the last year of his deal at St Mary's.
Saints want to sign midfielder Flynn Downes after his successful loan spell but are yet to strike an agreement.
Meanwhile, The Mirror this week claimed Saints are closing in on the re-signing of Danny Ings - but Saints insist there is no such move taking place.
