EASTLEIGH midfielder Nigel Atangana was named in the Vanarama National League team of the week after his starring role in their 2-0 win over Bromley on Saturday.
The 34 year old put in an excellent all-round display to help ensure new boss Kelvin Davis made it two wins from two against the promotion contenders.
The Frenchman was heavily involved in the Spitfires' second goal of the afternoon when his brilliant cross was nodded in by top scorer Paul McCallum.
Atangana completed 19 ball recoveries during the 90 minutes which was only bettered by AFC Fylde's Ethan Mitchell.
He also created two shot assists for Eastleigh as he made his mark defensively and offensively.
His performance helped Davis' side earn their first clean sheet since October - and the first in the National League since September 2.
The midfielder has played the full 90 minutes in each of the first two games of Davis' reign - following former boss Richard Hill's departure.
Eastleigh were due to play Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night at the Silverlake Stadium.
Team of the week in full: Sam Johnson (Halifax Town); Remy Clerima (Maidenhead United), Ollie Kensdale (Southend United), Reiss McNally (Kidderminster Harriers); Nigel Atangana (Eastleigh), Callum Maycock (Solihull Moors), D'Mani Mellor (Rochdale), Rakish Bingham (Ebbsfleet United); Callum Stead (Barnet), Kabongo Tshimanga (Boreham Wood), Marcus Dinanga (Gateshead).
