SAINTS FC Women progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup following a 2-0 win over Championship rivals Sunderland.
The Lasses won 1-0 at St Mary's when the two sides met in league action earlier this season, but it was Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side who claimed the victory on Sunday.
Katie Wilkinson fired Saints into the lead early in the second half with a finish from inside the box.
Sunderland came close to drawing level as Liz Ejupi, Mollie Rouse and Brianna Westrup spurned a succession of chances.
Wilkinson sealed the game with two minutes of regular time left with a diving header to complete her brace.
Melanie Reay's Sunderland were unable to respond during eight minutes of additional time.
Goalkeeper Kayla Rendell continued to miss out through injury, while there was a place for Under-21 midfielder Kayla Nohasiarisoa in the matchday squad.
Southampton have been assigned ball number two for tomorrow evening’s draw - which takes place at around 7:30 PM.
The fifth round will take place on the weekend of February 10 and 11.
Winning clubs at this stage will earn £80,000 in prize money and the losers taking £20,000.
