SOUTHAMPTON’S next generation are set for another challenge this evening, against Tottenham, as the Premier League 2 returns.
Under-21 players Sam Amo-Ameyaw, Jayden Meghoma, Tyler Dibling and Cam Bragg all featured in Southampton’s 4-0 FA Cup win over Walsall last weekend.
The quartet are expected to return to PL 2 action this evening against league leaders Tottenham.
For Amo-Ameyaw and Meghoma, tonight’s game at Snows Stadium will see them face their former side.
Tottenham come into the game having won all nine games so far this season - scoring thirty goals and only conceding eight.
By contrast, Southampton have three wins, one draw and six defeats to their name so far.
Adam Asghar's side ended a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Derby County at Staplewood last time out in league action.
They followed that up with a 2-2 draw against Dinamo Zagreb in the PL International Cup with Luke Pearce bagging himself a brace.
Club captain Jack Stephens featured in that game and played the first half as he built up his fitness post-injury.
Southampton and AFC Totton season ticket holders can gain free entry for this evening's 7:00 PM kick-off.
Tickets for non-season ticket holders are priced at £5 for adults, £3 for over-65s and £1 for Under-14s.
Those unable to make the game can watch the club's live stream on SaintsPlay, YouTube or Facebook.
