SAINTS have announced that Jem Hewlett has signed his first professional contract, keeping him at the club until 2025.
The 18 year old centre-back has been a part of the academy for a decade, having joined as an under-8s player and in his most recent seasons has captained the under-18s frequently.
Hewlett was a part of the under-18s Premier League South title-winning side in the 2021-22 season before returning to play in the last few rounds of the FA Youth Cup semi-final run last season, following a recovery from injury.

Hewlett spoke with pride and motivation after committing his future to the club for two more years.
"I'm delighted, I think it shows how much the club value me as a player and all the hard work I've put in.
"The dedication from myself and the coaches around me and my family has all paid off, but again the next thing is to keep pushing and make the most of the next two years and see where I can go."
