SHOLING bounced back from their first league defeat of the season last weekend, completing a rousing comeback against fellow promotion hopefuls Frome Town.
The Boatmen tasted defeat in the Southern League Division One South for the first time since April against Westbury United, ending up on the wrong side of a five-goal thriller in a 3-2 defeat.
Dave Diaper’s men battled from behind twice to win 3-2 against the Robins, early substitute Wayne Robinson cancelling out Laurent Davis-Wilson’s opener before the away side restored their lead via Jamie Adams shortly before the break.
Two goals in six minutes shortly after the hour mark turned the score line on its head, Daniel Mason restoring parity before former AFC Bournemouth youngster Jake Cope popped up with what proved to be the winner 21 minutes from time.
Victory places Sholing top of the pile with eight wins from their first nine league games, placing them two points above Exmouth Town in second.
