SHOLING progressed into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with an impressive 3-1 victory at Tiverton Town.
Despite competing at a level about Sholing, Southern Premier South Tivvy were unable to get the better of the Boatmen, even after taking an early lead.
Alfie Pond put the hosts in front with just four minutes on the clock, but Sholing quickly responded to equalise through Joe Adams, his first goal for the club.
The Southern Division One South outfit then completed the turnaround, going in front by half time courtesy of Claudio Herbert.
And the victory was sealed in the second half with in-form Dan Mason on target, as Dave Diaper's Boatmen made it seven wins in a row in all competitions.
The club will now be looking to match their achievement of last season, when they reached the fourth qualifying round for the first time.
Also in the hat for Monday's third qualifying round draw are Lymington Town.
The Southern Division One South side were faced with a tough task against their National League North opponents Hereford, but they earned themselves a replay.
Lymo took the lead in just the fifth minute through Owen Fee, but two goals in two minutes put the visitors ahead.
Myles Storey equalised, before straight from kick-off Hereford nicked the ball and broke forwards again with Storey teeing up Tom Owen-Evans to net.
But Lymington responded in the second half to earn a 2-2 draw, with Harry McGrath on target.
