Hundreds of budding young footballers took part in Oakwood Youth FC's annual, six-a-side tournament at Test Park in Southampton.
One hundred teams, from under-6s to under-13s, featuring more than 800 players were supported by more than 1000 spectators during the two-day competition, which included a new girls' section.
Established in 1995, Oakwood Youth FC has more than 20 teams in local leagues and provides football to more than 300 young players each week.
Based at Solent University's Test Park, it is an FA Chartered Standard Club.
McDonald’s franchisee Bryan Rupping, who owns and operates three local restaurants – on Shirley Road, Redbridge Road and in Totton – has sponsored the club for the past five years, donating various training equipment and kits to the teams.
He said: “I’m delighted to be supporting Oakwood Youth FC for the fifth year running. They’re a brilliant club who are dedicated to helping young players from the local community enjoy the game and build their confidence.
"I thoroughly enjoyed the tournament this weekend and it was great to see young players from all backgrounds take part.”
Richard Stapleton, Chairman at Oakwood Youth FC said: “We were so pleased to welcome local teams across Southampton to our annual tournament.
"It took months of planning and organisation and having the support and sponsorship from Bryan and his teams has been crucial.
"I would like to thank all the committee and volunteers for all their help and assistance in helping us to deliver the experience over the weekend. We look forward to organising another successful tournament next year!”
