THERE'S a momentous evening ahead for Sholing boss Dave Diaper.
Tonight's Sydenhams League Cup tie at Tadley Calleva marks his 1000th game in charge of the Boatmen.
During an incredible 19-year stint at the Sholing helm, 'Diaps' has won ten trophies, including that never-to-be forgotten FA Vase win at Wembley in 2014.
He boasts a 65 per cent win ratio.
Prior to joining Sholing - then known as Vosper Thornycroft - in 1999/2000, Diaper had managed Otterbourne and BAT.
As a player, his clubs included Cadnam, Pirelli, AC Delco, Otterbourne, Netley Vics and BAT.
He also played for Southampton Schools and a Hampshire representative side.
