Ex-Saints player Uwe Rosler has been sacked as Leeds head coach, the club have confirmed.
Rosler, appointed as Neil Redfearn's replacement in May, becomes the fifth Leeds boss to be axed by chairman Massimo Cellino.
The 46-year-old played for Saints between 2000 and 2002, making 29 appearances and scoring one goal.
Reports suggest that former Rotherham boss Steve Evans is overseeing first-team training at Thorp Arch this morning.
Leeds slipped to a third straight Sky Bet Championship defeat on Saturday, losing 2-1 at home to Brighton, and lie 18th in the table - three points above the relegation zone.
