We all love takeaways, but what is the go-to service for you?
Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat have delivered to millions of Brits across the country.
But which app is the best?
I decided to put it to the test by ordering a McDonald's meal at the same from all three to see which comes out on top.
Comparing McDonald's orders on Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber
When it came to comparing the three, I tried to make the test as fair as possible.
I ordered the same meal, from the same restaurant, at the same time.
In this case, it was from my local Maccies because you can’t really go wrong with that.
I got three separate devices from around the house, in this case, two iPads and a phone, and began ordering.
I just went simple and got six chicken nuggets, a large fries, a hamburger (with no pickles... sorry pickle fans), as well as a water and a McFlurry, plain to keep it as simple as possible.
This meal was put in across all three devices, and you may be surprised to see the difference in price for each.
Despite the food costing £11.27 on all three, as expected, the total prices differed.

This was due to an order fee of 73p, a service fee of £1.24 and a delivery fee of £1.79.
Just Eat came in at the cheapest at £13.49, with a £1.23 service fee and a delivery fee of 99p.
Uber Eats came in as the most expensive, at £19.30.
It had £1.24 fees on top as well as a £6.79 delivery fee.
All three orders were placed at identical times, at 6.45pm, now it was time to see which came first.
Just 17 minutes later, the first order arrived… which was…
Deliveroo!
The Deliveroo order came at 7.02pm, which meant the food was warm and tasty.
The meal ordered, which Deliveroo brought first (Image: Newsquest) Next on the list was Just Eat, which came 41 minutes later, at 7.26pm.
Naturally, this food was not as warm, but still edible, and me and the family did enjoy this too.
In last place was Uber, which took 51 minutes.
Noticeably, two drivers who accepted the order ended up cancelling, so new ones had to be found.
When the food did finally arrive, it was understandably the coldest of the three.
The verdict. Which is best out of Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber?
While this is not a concrete test, I was disappointed with how long the Uber Eats meal took, considering it was the most expensive.
This was not a test of McDonald’s either, but all portions came in similar sizes, and the restaurant could have gotten busier, which may have affected the delivery times.

If you are looking at which website or app to order from, my recommendation would be Deliveroo, this is not just due to this test, but also through previous experience.
However, depending on where you live and where you are ordering from may help you make the final decision.
Either way, happy ordering!
