Coronation Street fans have been shocked to discover the real voice of an actor who has been featuring on the show for five years.
Charlotte Jordan plays the character of Daisy Midgeley and has been involved in the ITV soap since 2020.
However, it was only after appearing for an interview on This Morning today (Wednesday, April 30) that Corrie fans discovered what her real voice was.
Jordan speaks with a northern accent on the show but has a southern accent in real life, having been born in Chobham, Surrey.
This fact about her was news to some Corrie fans, who took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to comment on it, Devon Live reports.
One person wrote: "I didn’t expect Daisy to sound like that! Great northern accent".
Another said: "She suits the Manc accent that she acts with", while another was simply astounded: "Her voice? ! #thismorning."
Charlotte Jordan discusses leaving Coronation Street
The character of Daisy Midgeley will be departing from Corrie very soon, and Jordan praised the team behind the soap.
She said: "When I said: 'I think it's time for me to go', I was fully prepared for them to sort of run me over. Fair enough!
"I was very very grateful that they've left the door open and said if I'd like to come back, I can, so very sweet."
The 30-year-old had spoken earlier in the month about her final day on set, revealing that she cried a lot.
She shared: "My last scene was with the beautiful Rob Mallard [who plays the character of Daniel Osbourne], and we were meant to cry in the scene – but we were both dry as a bone. As soon as they yelled our final ‘cut’, we both burst into tears. Typical.

“The Corrie gang made it so special for me. The canteen made me my favourite lunch which made me cry. The art department drew me a beautiful card which made me cry.
“I think I was medically dehydrated by the end of the day."
Jordan will soon be taking up a role on the BBC radio show The Archers, as she commented: "So yes, I start very soon, I can't say much about it but the character will ruffle some feathers, that's all I can say!"
