Air fryers manufactured by the brand Tower are being urgently recalled due to a “risk of fire” and that they could “overheat and ignite” during use.

Trading standards issued the alert across the country alongside a warning.

It states: “The product presents a risk of fire as it may overheat and ignite during use. The product has been recalled from end users.”

The four models by Tower are black and were made between January 2022 and April 2023.

They were sold by retailers including Amazon, Argos, B&M, DID, Poundland, Robert Dyas, Tesco, and the Tower Housewares website.

“Owners can check if they have an affected model by checking the model on the appliance rating label,” Trading Standards go on to state.

“Owners of affected products should stop using the product immediately and unplug it from the power supply.

“For further information, including registering your product for a refund or replacement, please access the Tower Housewares webpage.
