Coronation Street fans have spotted a massive blunder on the popular ITV soap opera involving a dog and a handbag.

In the scene which takes place in the iconic Rover's Return Inn, Claire Sweeney (who plays Cassandra Plummer) can be seen holding a dog and locking eyes with Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald).

The pair's moment in the pub is interrupted when Maureen Lipman, who plays Lillian Spencer, the mother of Cassandra, goes up to Steve to tell him to look away.

However, when Claire stands up to walk over to his table, the dog she was previously holding seems to vanish and turn into a handbag.
