The first look at Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s new six-part BBC series reveals how the couple are “constantly working” on their relationship and family life at Pickle Cottage.

The series, Stacey & Joe, will follow the couple and children Zach (Solomon’s first son with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox), Leighton (Solomon’s son with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham), Rex, Rose and Belle, as well as their four ducks and two dogs, during their day-to-day life at their home in Essex.

The BBC confirmed that the show will launch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Tuesday, April 1 alongside a 30-second trailer showing clips of the couple at home and work.

“Pickle Cottage is a lot like our relationship, [we’re] constantly working on it,” Swash laughs.

“The last five years has just gone ‘bam!’”, Solomon adds, who last year won a National Television Award for her decluttering show Sort Your Life Out.

“This is us, welcome to marriage.”

The series aims to show how the pair balance family life with their work schedules and passion projects such as building a two-acre fishing lake.

The BBC programme description adds: “The beautiful chaos of life at Pickle Cottage.

“With lots of kids, plenty of animals and two busy parents, there's loads of love and laughs at Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash's.”

Speaking earlier this year about the show, Solomon, 35, said:  “2024 was the year me and Joe pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones.

“We took on different projects and tried new things. It’s been so amazing and nerve-wracking all at the same time, and we just want to keep doing that in 2025, starting with Stacey & Joe.

“Working with the BBC and Optomen (the show’s producers) on Sort Your Life Out has been a dream come true, so this team just made sense.

“We’ve loved showing a different side to our family’s fun and chaos. We can’t wait for you to join us at Pickle Cottage this year.”

What to expect from the Stacey & Joe series

The series was filmed during the summer and autumn of 2024 and shows the couple as they celebrate their second wedding anniversary, revealing how they met and fell in love.

How did Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash meet?

Former EastEnders actor Swash, 43, and Solomon, 35, have been together since 2016 after they met while appearing on the 10th series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2010. They have been married since 2022.

Along with the children he shares with the Loose Women presenter, Swash also has a son, Harry, with ex-fiance Emma Sophocleous.
