An EastEnders star has been axed after three years on the BBC soap but fans are demanding for bosses to “keep him in”.

Matthew James Morrison’s time as Felix Baker is said to be coming to an end and he will reportedly film his final scenes soon.

The actor joined the Walford in 2022, as part of the Baker-Taylor extended family and was also the soap's drag queen, Tara Misu.

His exit comes as bosses felt it was time to “say goodbye” to the character, reports suggest.

However, a BBC spokesperson has confirmed the news, telling the publisher: “We can confirm that Matthew will be leaving EastEnders later in the year.

“We wish him all the best for the future.”

Felix arrived in EastEnders alongside dad Avery (Omar Lye-Fook) and brother Finlay (Ashley Byam).
