Costa discontinues "lush" treat after just two months

In January, Costa introduced a new Chocolate and Banana Muffin to it's menu.

It quickly became a fan favourite, with the new muffin being described as "delicious", "lush" and "beautiful".

One person, commenting on a Costa Facebook post, said: "My favourite muffins at the moment. Soooooo tasty."

While others called for the new item to be made a permanent fixture on the Costa menu.

This person commented: "It’s soo good! Must keep it as a permanent item!"

While another added: "The banana and chocolate muffins are sooo nice I’ll be gutted if they are temporary  my hips won’t though haha."
