Primark is opening its first standalone homeware store next week, with hopes more will follow soon.

Primark Home will launch in Belfast on March 6. The store measures 8,700sq ft and is located in Fountain House - a stone's throw from the retailer’s flagship Bank Buildings store.

The popular fast fashion retailer's new homeware store will stock the brand's own-brand cotton bedding and towels, soft furnishings, decorative pieces, kitchen ceramics and textiles, reusable cups, candles and fragrances.

Fintan Costello, head of Primark Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “This is a big moment for the Primark brand and a big moment for Belfast too as we finally announce the opening date of our first-ever standalone Primark Home store."

He added: “In the same way our fashion collections are helping create wardrobes that look and feel great, Primark Home will offer a wider range of quality homeware and lifestyle products to help our customers create stand-out interiors. We can’t wait to welcome customers through our doors.”

The Bank Buildings store will see its children's section doubling in size and menswear space expanding on the top floor of the building.
