Gogglebox favourites The Siddiquis have issued a tribute to their “beautiful boy” who will “always be a big part of our lives”.
It comes as Sid, along with his sons Baasit, Raza and Umar who have been part of the Channel 4 series for more than a decade announced the death of one of their cats.
Over the years, Rufus has often been seen by Gogglebox fans parading around The Siddiquis house during episodes.
The Siddiquis shared a collage of images on Instagram of their beloved fluffy family member to their 138k followers, along with the caption: “Goodnight our beautiful boy Rufus.
“15 and a half years wasn’t long enough, you were and always will be a big part of our lives.
“The most chilled, cuddly and beautiful boy who made us a family right back at the beginning.
“Lots of memories that we will never forget and we are truly grateful to have known & loved you.”
“Sleep tight our handsome Boy.”
Gogglebox fans send condolences to The Siddiquis
Hundreds of fans took to the comments to offer their condolences, as one wrote: “So sorry for the loss of your beautiful furry baby xx”
Another said: “So sorry for your loss, one of the worst pains in life.”
A third Gogglebox viewer added: “So very sorry to read this! However long they're with us is always too short.”
Someone else said: “I'm so sorry for your loss, animals are family and when their short [short] lives end it breaks our hearts. May you find some comfort that Rufus had a wonderful life with you."

When did The Siddiquis join Channel 4’s Gogglebox?
The family joined Gogglebox back in 2013 and has remained popular with fans of the show ever since.
In fact, Sid and his sons have been part of the programme since it first aired.
The announcement of Rufus’ death comes just months after former Gogglebox cast members Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig shared that their dog had died in November.
